back to the city, back to work.. the past few days in perhentian was quite an experience. i headed there with the intention to just chill and relax all day, but lots of unexpected things popped up...firstly we couldn't get accomodation on kecil after spending the whole morning looking for rooms, ended up 7 of us had to squeeze in 1 room on besar. now we all know who snores the loudest, and who sleep talks. =)
hehe..then we also had to take a small sampan at night during a thunderstorm to get back frm kecil to besar. we were totally drenched and had to concentrate on protecting our phones / cameras etc whilst also trying to stop my imagination from running wild especially each time when i looked up, all i could see was darkness, and the only time when all was clear was when there was lightning.
....and my slipper broke while trying to climb into the sampan amidst the strong waves.
and in our room, 'batman' attacked, thankfully weisian was around to chase the bat out of our room, coz bern and kenny were out getting supper.
and on our journey back, waiting for the bus at jertei was also quite an experience. the bus station was filled with bugs that looked like dog fleas but humongous ones. and the malays were not at all bothered by them, but we were quite grossed out. the bugs were quite stinko. and our bus was delayed by half an hour, so we stood by the roadside fighting off bugs. =p
...but nonetheless, it was still a great trip!! managed to get a tan (bit burnt actually), everyone had a great laugh, and was a good break from work. but now i know, next time i go to perhentian, definitely go during off peak season. =)
